I just saw the movie and I agree that it's fantastic and one of the best of the year, but that's a really long list for 2019. I just thought the massive plotholes were the only things keeping it from being a true masterpiece. Why didn't he just say hey my sister would be good for this? why did he have to pretend he didn't know her? They didn't seem to have already formulated the entire plot of bringing them all in, and I don't recall them ever mentioning why he didn't want them to know they were related. Also the buttons that controlled the lights were pretty unbelievable. Like why would that have been built that way? That was a huge MacGuffin that I found distracting when it came up. Also nothing ever came of the young boy decoding the message, so that seemed pointless. But despite all of that it was a great film and the acting and cinematography were near perfect. It's a must-see for sure.
English is my first language and I'm always hesitant to watch foreign films because of the subtitles. It's challenging and sometimes an effort when I want to relax and watch a movie. I'm so glad I made this choice to watch the Parasite. The film is original and very well shot. I loved the actors and by the midway point I forgot I was reading subtitles, the film pulls you in to its world. Fantastic film and I will check out more of the directors work.
It is a shame that not many people know that ' the belt of faith' is composed by young talented musician called Jung Jae Il. It is not classical piece, his original score.

I'm creepily inspired, heart broken and confused all at the same time. not intending to add to the millions of comments saying go watch this but duuuude. what a film. what a story. 11/10. The actors and director where amazing. I Iove how they change their personalities when going on their poor environment, to when they're in the rich home.

Man 2019 was en excellent year in movies. Woo-sik chois accent is crazy, cuz like its like hes so adjusted to both accents that you can hear him slipping into like full American accent and saying words perfectly and then you can hear the korean accent kick back in. The audience in my theater was absolutely howling when he took out the 'bloody' tissue from the trash. This whole scene is just fantastically structured, performed, scored and directed. With Uncut Gems coming out, would love a Beauty of Good Time. wonderful channel and video. Whats wrong with Americans and wanting to remake foreign movies? I swear theyre so self centered... if theres an actual remake of Parasite I hope it flops.
The movie and all the comedy elements in it are good, but the plot points are just too weird and too over the top.
7 is okay and logical but 8 or more is too much for this.

I think America is the only country who needs to seriously overcome the one inch subtitle. If you dont open your mind to foreign films, your really stuck in a box. Stop thinking all films needs to be English for you to watch. Its not the same if its dubbed either. They always have terrible voiceover actors. Seriously, Im glad my parents raised me up watching foreign movies and tv shows.
